     Mercenary Frigate should probably only be used to make your PCs
     slobber a little.  If you give it to them, they're likely to want to
     go set themselves up as a group of TEDs on some poor unsuspecting
     world in the wilds.

     The Warhorse-Class Merc Frigate was designed and built in limited
     numbers to cater to the small crowd of ultra-successful mercenary
     groups operating in the Domain.  Sold only on a contingency basis, the
     Warhorse-Class is partially subsidized by the Regency with the
     agreement that the ship must operate on the frontier and in the wilds
     on the Regency's borders for a limited period of time (2-4 years) and
     then reverting to private operation.

     Its main purpose is to operate in extremely hostile environments.  It
     is armed to dispatch most of its enemies quickly and completely and is
     frequently employed as a "corsair-buster."

     While the Warhorse-Class was originally intended for line expansion,
     only eight were built after the Regency and private investors
     determined that the market was too limited for this product.  The
     eight Warhorse-Class ships built during or before 1201 were titled
     Warhorse, Pegasus, Kian, Unicorn, Hippocampus, Hippogriff, Griffon and
     Wyvern.
