The MPCV was designed by TrinTechnics, a noted naval architects firm, as a speculative venture. Intended as a more capable replacement for the typical 800 ton mercenary cruiser design, it should also be suitable for small planetary navies desiring an unspecialized starship. Auxiliary craft would typically include some mix of Lance fighters and Type 1112 landing boats.
