The IDP-9851 (Imperial Data Package) is a standard design going back to pre-imperial times. It is a deep space capable craft using a fusion rocket drive, advantageous when away from a planetary gravity well. Two standard grav powered landers are carried for planetside operations.

Other: | Fuel=432kl, Cargo=116kl, SubCraft=2*20ton landers, ObjSize=Avg, EmLevel=Faint Notes: Dow Rieder suggests that a more reasonable fusion rocket fuel consumption is about 100 times the current listed value. This would make the endurance 1.2 days, but additional fuel could be carried. Without doing this, interplanetary trips would be rather time consuming, but this would still be a reasonable planetary approaches patrol vessel. |
